Demo Derby ThunderBob Pit Crew Action
Ken & Tony make it happen in the pits!

With the side of the radiator blown out and the water pump gaskets leaking, Tony & Ken keep their composure and make it happen.

Skip makes some phone calls and is able to get a radiator on its way to the track. Mike Mellen was just leaving to come to the race and he had a radiator that he traded us. YOU ARE AWESOME MIKE!

With no gaskets available the crew makes gaskets out of a 12pk pop box. Very ingenious. I pretty much could hear the thunder of action and people makin' things happen.

Skip researched some things talking to other old-time racers in the pits. He decided to try running the car in second gear. After I hot lapped the car in second gear I decided to go ahead and use that gear for time in and all the racing segments.

We have several different camera angles that we will share with you in the very near future. In this picture below is Vicki who did an excellent job of covering our pit action. Vicki and Ken have been close friends of Skip Cook for years. They are awesome. Actually. They drove all the way from Yakima, WA to be a part of the 2009 ThunderBob Demo Derby Car Team. Thanks again everyone.
